Hi Everyone. I’m Ian Burnside, an independent support guru based in Olney, Buckinghamshire UK.

I have a BSc. degree from the Open University and I help people, individuals at home and people with businesses who need support with computing/technology requirements.

I’m loathe to say computer support as, these days, computers are much more reliable and … hey you may be using a tablet or smart-phone anyway. The emphasis is on supporting people.

My job is to help you to get the most out of your technology.

  • If something doesn’t work the way you want it to I’ll help you to fix it.
  • If your computer is actually broken then I can diagnose what’s wrong and, if possible, fix it for you.
  • If you don’t know what the possibilities are then I can help you with that too!

There’s a list of services here which seems to go on forever. If it’s not on the list just ask.

The emphasis is on jargon free, simple solutions to the problems that crop up for everyone with a computer. If you’ve never used a computer (or tablet or smartphone) before or don’t know even where to start then I can guide you through the possibilities and choices. The “Tame My Technology” section of the website will explain some of the basic concepts like “e-mail” and “backups”. If there’s something you would like to see there then just ask. You can contact me here.
